Bronto Skylift has committed to continuously improve its processes and products to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s activities. We have had a certified environmental management system based on ISO 14001 since 1999.
The high quality of our manufacturing processes helps reduce both the amount of waste and the energy consumption. We have succeeded in reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing through several actions: plasma welding, distillation of paint solvents, improved waste sorting and treatment of hazardous material, refusing the use of propellent-driven aerosol containers etc.
The manufacturing, however, represents only about 10% of the environmental impacts of the product during its entire life cycle. The high quality of our products means reliable performance, longer service intervals and lower consumption of spare parts – all factors that reduce environmetal impact of the product use. We also facilitate pro-environmental features like the use of biodegradable hydraulic oil, separate power supply units, combustion engines and electric motors to reduce fuel consumption, exhaust gas emissions and noise.
Our objective is to continuously improve our activities and to control environmental risks by implementing significant environmental management programmes.
We encourage our interest groups in payiyng attention to environmental issues by offering our customers environmentally friendly products and by serving as an example to our suppliers and other partners.
